Regarding retoration the Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau Stiftung and the Rainer Werner Fassbinder Foundation trust in ARRI Media.

AFter remastering classics like Metropolis, Nosferatu and more, the Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau Stiftung (Restoration: Anke Wilkening) trusts in ARRI Media again with theire treasure. First all the 35 mm material got digitized with the ARRISCAN Wetgate in 4K. The Agfacolor color methods used at the Original turned out as a challenge but was but was mastered by Colorist Andreas Lautil with enthusiasm and success. The following 4K remastering was achieved in cooperation with Prof. Barbara Flückiger from the University of Zurich, Institute of Cinema Studies.

(1972) by Rainer Werner Fassbinder, new restoration

The Rainer Werner Fassbinder Foundation, Managing Director: Juliane Maria Lorenz, is a valued customer at ARRI Media regarding restoration treasured historic jewels.
The five episodes from Rainer Werner Fassbinder, featurung the lovely Gottfried John and Hanna Schygulla, was produced in 1972 for the WDR. ARRI Media scanned, restored and color corrected an entire of 16 hours of 16 mm material in  2K. The colorgrading was executed by Senior Colorista Traudl Nicholson.
